Ever thought why most of the bloggers do not succeed?

There are lot of reasons behind this but here are top 10 reasons:
1. Lack of Passion: They are not passionate about their topic. They start a blog out of excitement and end up deleting it when they can not think of a new post idea. Remember, Carefully choose the topic for your blog. Further Reading: Finding the Topic that will make you Successful.
2. Lack of Determination: They see top bloggers like Darren Rowse and John Chow and dream to be like them but give up quickly after having initial low traffic phase. Everyone has these “low traffic” days and only a few manage to come out of these.
3. Black Hat Methods: They are attracted towards Black Hat methods. What they don’t realize is that these methods are for short term gain only. In long run, they only cause harm and make their blog ”just another blog in the crowd”.
4. Money-Money-Money: They do not see blogging as a method to share knowledge and build reputation. Instead, they see the money. Either they stuff pages with ads or join click fraud groups. Next things that happen are: 1. They get Banned Out of Ad Network, 2. Try another network, 3. Repeat Same story there, 4. Never get paid, 5.Curse Ad Network for their good filtering, 6. Leave blogging.
5. Write-Hit Publish-Forget Approach: They write posts in hurry and post without taking a second look. No matter how much precautions you take, some mistakes always skip our eyes. It is important to proof read the posts at least twice.
6. No Interaction: Even if they manage to attract people to their blog, they forget most important part: Interaction With Readers. They do not reply to comments and lose readers.
7. No Calls for Action: They think that some mysterious power will make people comment on their blog without their asking. Always remember, “There is no Free Lunch”. If you do not ask people to comment, they will never. Further Reading: Encouraging blog readers to comment.
8. No Face: They fail to give a face to their blog and content by missing the essentials: About Page and Contact Page. Even worst, some never take time to edit default about page (on WordPress) and make themselves look foolish.
9. Bad Grammar: They write blog posts horribly! I am not saying that their should not be any mistakes in posts but having lot of them makes blog unattractive.
10. Traffic Exchanges: Many people join traffic exchange websites and get hundreds of “hits” per day. But guess what, these “hitters” (not visitors as they can be bots!) never: 1. Leave Feedback, 2. Click anything! (Ads Included). Further Reading(err…… voting): Poll: Do You Use Traffic Exchanges?
Some Extra Reasons:
11. Automatic Blogs: They buy one of those “auto blog/content” packages out there and think the “unique content” promises hold true. In turn, they get content(already published on 100 other sites) delivered on blog, get penalized by search engines, waste money and give up!
12. No Time Management: They fail to manage their time and end up wasting time in other things(weekly design changes) instead of writing quality content.
13. Reading Articles: Reading articles is a good way to fail. Why? Because it is not reading that matters, its following that matters. Further Reading: Reading our Articles will Not Help you Succeed.
Add your Reason.

I swear, I am so ignorant sometimes. I had no idea you could set up a blog and just import content from somewhere else? And I had no idea there was such a thing as click fraud groups?
Judging by your list, I think I’m doing everything correctly, but I have to admit … #2 does get to me at times. I keep wondering if I’ll ever hit that viral cyber jackpot where thousands of people will all of a sudden “discover” me. Until then, these high and low waves are stressful.
RSS feeds make importing content possible. I have seen many such blogs running of other’s content. Comapre these posts: Original on Daily Blog Tips: Handling Content Scrappers, Copied on Scrapper’s Site: Handling Content Scrappers
Many click fraud groups are present on BC also. Try to visit AdSense group there. You will see lot of requests to “kiss”,”hug” or click ads!
Regarding traffic pahese, best advice is “Hold On!”. things will only get better.
True, all of these statements are sooooo true…
Scraping is useless, same as is getting traffic from those traffic-exchange things. You will get loads of visitors hitting your site, and leaving again in less then 3 seconds. Why? Because they are not interested in your site, they just visit to gain credits to get their own (worthless) traffic, or, because you have the same content as 100 other blogs about the same subject.
This will make your bouncerate go waaaaay up, and Google will pull its conclusions from that…
3 steps to blogging with succes:
1. Write alot of high quality, unique content.
2. Get loads of quality inbound links
3. Be passionate about it: http://www.icantinternet.org/2.....-blogging/
Yes, if you are not passionate, you will waste time blogging!
It’s not just about passion, but lack of ideas can sometimes distract you from blogging.
Yep.. I really agree with all your points
Most bloggers stop updating their blog because they can’t gain money as they expect
They don’t realize that it’ll take long time to successfully achieve that step
This is the first time I commented here and I must say you share us genuine, and quality information for bloggers! Great job.
p.s. You have an awesome template for your blog. Where did you find it?
This is a free theme from http://www.wp-them.es/
Ouch the #9 hits me hard.
It can be avoided, though, so I am using double walls to cover it up. First, using Word’s native spellchecker, and English native speaker.
You know who the latter is, though.
*ahem*
I’m not a good blogger, because I don’t write good.
Never say you are a bad blogger! No one is perfect. Even the best bloggers make mistakes. Just keep learning and do not repeat mistakes.
There are ways to improve your writing —see this post on CopyBlogger — http://www.copyblogger.com/how-to-blog/ There are many such resources for anything from grammar to humor. Try searching Blog Catalog and use StumbleUpon to discover good tips. I agree with Mr. I that you can improve if you work at it. You need some feedback to zero in on areas where you should focus. Did not quite understand reason 3, can you please elaborate on it.
I too have blogged about the subject and have my own reasoning. http://digital-post.blogspot.c.....-word.html
Hello Lalit,
Black Hat Methods means unethical methods to benefit. An example is keyword spamming to increasing search engine rankings/ using click fraud to earn more from AdSense or other networks. Some people think that more money can be made by using these but this is wrong and should be avoided.
I think These methods are to folowed. But a survey my some blogging network says only 20% of the entire blog network write real posts.”Why copy??Have A Brain Write A real Post Linke Us “”OR”" Leave This Dynamic Generation.
Varun, It is sad if that many bloggers copy content or simply rehash what’s already out there. It’s useful to mention and link to other blogger’s posts or general news every now and then, to keep your followers informed. Also you may have a fresh perspective or can relate some real life experiences. I find on my blogspot blog that I may refer to other tutorials but add value by pointing out stumbling blocks or variations. Also I respond right away to problems.
Awesome, thank you for the info. I am going to use this and see how it grows my blog. Keep it up
Once again, great advice. I think I found my second home.=)
