‘Tis The Season For Bloggers Too

by SBA · 7 comments

Even bloggers need a holiday. Time to be with family and friends. Time to remember fondest memories and wish the best for the new year.

Everyone has different family or cultural traditions for celebrating the holidays. This is especially true for Christmas around the world. I live in the USA and had never seen the Christmas Cracker tradition until I visited a family in England: "A cracker consists of a cardboard tube wrapped in a brightly decorated twist of paper, making it resemble an over sized sweet-wrapper. The cracker is pulled by two people, and, much in the manner of a wishbone, the cracker splits unevenly. The split is accompanied by a small bang produced by the effect of friction on a chemically impregnated card strip (similar to that used in a cap gun)."

I remember the 'gifts' inside and donning a paper crown while eating dinner. It was something that you can enjoy as different but equally uniting.

Use this time to refuel, reflect and regroup. Your blogging will be more focused afterwards. Inspiration, creativity and ideas often come when you're removed from the computer!

The writers at BWS wish you the very best during the holiday season. Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Peace to all.

What holiday memories or wishes can you share with us here?

now that you say I really think it’s time to take a break and reflect over all that I learned in past one month of relentless blogging…
