We've added a new feature highlighting posts with tips we think our readers will find useful. There are so many plugins that you can't keep track of all of them! Yet, finding the 'right one' can make your publishing so much easier. Every minute save leaves more time for content. On the flip side, you must be judicious in the number and quality of plugins you add. We recommend ones that have worked for us or that we find in a trusted site.
Plugin: Simply Show IDs
Description:
A common complaint about the edit posts, pages, media, links, categories, tags and users pages is that there is no easy way to see the ID of the specific item. This plugin will add a new column titled 'ID' that will display each items ID.
Uses:

http://bloggingwithsuccess.net/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?action=edit&taxonomy=category&post_type=post&tag_ID=8
Visual: The ID column is on the right as you view page/category list.
But I Hate Plugins!
Here's a nice starting point, if you prefer to use code in the function.php rather than a plugin: a post on WPCanyon WordPress Admin Panel Trick: Adding ID Field To The Categories Listing. It's part of 3 posts to get the job done.
So, don't forget to read WPCanyon's companion posts: ' how to do this for pages listing' and 'how to do it for posts listing.' Reminds me of my early days, hacking Blogspot templates. Have fun!

Hi SBA,
Thanks for this post. If you make an article on how to create a post without sidebars in wordpress, that would help lots of people SBA. Thanks for sharing
Hi Dia,
Not sure what you're asking though — one post without sidebars or a one column theme? Maybe you can give an example…
This article talks about adding options to tell a widget if it should display on all pages, posts, etc or on specific ones by id…
<a> How to Create Smart Dynamic Sidebars
Hi SBA,
I mean, for example, I created a page without side bars, see below:
http://www.2achieveyourgoals.com/books/
Now, I would like to create the same thing, but in a post. Now, all my posts have side bars. However, I would like to create a post that looks just like the page I created above, but in a post. Is that possible?
I know when I create a page, I have an option to hide the side bars, but I don't have that option when I create a post…
Okay, I understand. I found a post that gives you the instructions (see the last section about posts).
