Why Did You Become A Blogger? Tell Me Your Story(And listen to mine!)

This Is Me!

Sometimes, we just forget why we started blogging and start focusing on other things. It happens to me a lot of times.

After my exams ended, I was fully energized to become a better blogger. But in 2 or 3 days, I found myself doing lot of other things. So, I just remembered my inspiration and purpose behind becoming a blogger and this gave me motivation.

My Story(a fairy tale!):

Back in 2006, I was a normal teenager(not to say that I am abnormal now ). I used to play cricket, study and dreamed of becoming "a big man". I had a computer at home but I used to play games on it most of time. In August, I bought something that was going to change my life forever! It was a magazine called Digit. After that, I became a regular reader of it.

In March 2007 issue, Digit has bundled "Fast Track to Blogging" as a complimentary magazine. I read it completely and thought, "I should someday try blogging too!". Sadly, I did not have an internet connection back then.

In 2008, I managed to convince my parents to get an internet connection. Guess what I did first?

I went to blogger.com and registered for a blog. After that, I started blogging regularly and by October 2008, I had failed thrice but learned a lot about blogging.

Another thing that I learned was that I was not a one man army(definitely not with my 144 kbps connection!). What could I do?

Getting a new connection? That was out of question! My parents would never agree for that.

So, I thought about starting a team blog about what I knew most about, blogging.

I met Shirley and Fransiska in August 2008 and in October, I talked to them about my idea. We liked it and that's how Blogging With Success came into existence on November 2008.

In last week December 2008, I sold a dead blog for a good profit and this triggered something that changed our course. I decided to move BWS to WordPress. It was not an easy task, and not easy at all when none of us had used, let alone install, WordPress before. But my always curious nature and Shirley's cool decisions helped a lot and before entering 2010, BWS was officially "Powered By WordPress".

I closed all the other blogs and started focusing only on BWS only. And our efforts showed effect. Slowly, we starting growing readership. However, in March 2009, my examinations did not go well and something bad happened.

For the first time in my life, I failed!

It was not a complete failure as I had scored well in all other subjects and this guaranteed me a second chance, the improvement examination! But nonetheless, it was a major setback for me. Let alone failing, I had never scored less than 80/100 in any exam in my lifetime!

However, I did not leave blogging(that's how much I love blogging and all you friends who read my articles!) I became a bit organized and in improvement examination, I performed well.

Wait, not well. It could not be called "well", it was great! I had scored 90/100!

This was September 2009! I was still blogging and Blogging With Success was going well. In October 2009, me and Shirley(SBA) decided to give BWS a makeover. And thus, the present design came into existence.

Offline, I was preparing for college entrance examinations which were in April. This time, I decided to take a break from blogging and asked Shirley to handle Blogging With Success for some time. She did a wonderful job with it.

My exam was on April 25, 2010. It went well. Now, I am waiting for results.

Wait, I think I am forgetting something.

What is it?

Yeah, now I got it. I had to tell in starting that:

I AM BACK!

Sorry for shouting their but it feels great!

I missed all of you so much in those four months. Now, I have lots of plan for Blogging With Success and you will notice them shortly(and with them, some fatal errors when I experiment with WP!)
