Foolproof Way To Create Sidebar Widgets With Clickable Images

Okay, the WordPress developers are in no way interested in making it easy for you to create custom text widgets! They assume you're very happy to have theme developers provide those nifty widgets where we just indicate the number of comments to show, etc.

How is that? Well, there is no "Visual" mode in text widgets! Everything you put in a custom widget has to be plain text or html (the dreaded word for 95% of all bloggers). So most of us get by copying code provided by third parties like Twitter.  But this video post shows a foolproof method to see what your custom "text/html" widget looks like before you hit save.

So sit back and watch the "Build your own WP text widget in WYSIWYG editor  video."

-------------

After watching the video, you'll need this link to the online html editor.

Here's a quick cheat cheat for the editor icons, most of which you won't need.

In the video you notice the 'follow us' text is not on a new line --- just use the paragraph icon!

Please use comments to let me us how you create your custom clickable widgets in WP or Blogger.
