<blockquote> Whenever I type the comment first then key my name/url I notice the last post does not show up! So you have to un-check then re-check the commentluv box. </blockquote>

You nailed it! I'll bet that that's what I have been doing wrong.

To be found iIn the belly of Akismet does not make me happy. :(

But chatting with you does. :)
Take good care,

I just love the occasional 'mini-rant'! You do it so well... I agree on not promoting keywords attached to or used instead of names. The blog url should be enough, after all it's a dialog not a back rubbing.

I think the mishaps with your post showing on commentluv at those 'money making' sites has to do with the long load time. It would also be the way you complete the comment form [if I may be so bold.. lol]. Whenever I type the comment first then key my name/url I notice the last post does not show up! So you have to un-check then re-check the commentluv box.

No way do I see you as a 'lurker --- it's an honor to be on your blogroll, rotating or otherwise. And aren't we smart to have a name starting with "B"! lol.

Take care when your last post is named '<strong>passionate</strong> blogging...' I found your comment in the Askimet quarantine --- that should give you a laugh!

<blockquote> If you've been lurking in the feed readers, it's time to stop by and see some new-fangled things. </blockquote>

LOL :D I'm always lurking on your feed. I used to have your feed in my sidebar until I changed themes and found that a single sidebar could not accommodate all that the double sidebar in the last theme could accommodate without making my front page a mile long. Now I'm thinking of placing RSS feed widgets to those blogs I have on my Links page in a rotation pattern in the two spots I have. Today while I'm thinking about that what I am doing is preparing small descriptions for each of the sites on my Links page. They are alphabetically ordered and blogging with success one is on top. ;)

Re:commentluv. Originally I struggled with the concept of rewarding those who comment. It did not sit well with me at all. However, I did cave in and installed the plugin on my personal blog where works well and I have had no problems with it. When I first installed it I did get a rash of extra "empty" comments form new readers but I moderate all comments so that was no big deal.

What I have experienced when leaving comments on some blogs is that the blogger has either configured commentluv in some unusual manner so that some commenters most recent posts are not displayed or the plugin is not working properly. The only blogs I have experienced this on have all been "do-follow" make money blogs but that could be coincidental. what follows is a minirant. The whole idea of allowing commenters to use a keyword instead of their username perpetrates two undesirable myths.

The first is that every blog ought to have a only a single keyword. That's nonsense and good SEO person will agree that multiple choices of keyword phrases and the long tail approach is the way to go.

The second is ironic in the extreme. These plugins are on blogs wherein we find article after article extolling the virtues of being personal and personable in blog posts and on social media sites. Say what? You insert a keyword where your name belongs and that's personal and personable? I don't think so.

I have comment luv on my blog and I think it really does encourage more interaction to a degree. Ya, you might get a few more trying to take advantage of it, but it's pretty easy to tell who is doing it though. I think every little bit helps.

Can you be more specific about "good appearance?"
Are you "memey" or "sumaru?" It might help if you had an avatar (get one at gravatar.com). Also I'm concerned you're not getting replies (via email notice) I made to your previous comment(s) --- please confirm so you don't get on our spam list.
