For the past two months, we have been experimenting with content strategies to see what works best. Did you notice the changes?
In June, we set a different content topic for each week. All posts for that week related to keywords in that topic. The Content theme for the week of June 1 was “125 x 125 Ads” with three posts:
“Part 1 :Turn Your Grab My Button into a Free BillBoard”
“Grab My Button Widget Tutorial: One Click Installation”
“Part 2 :Turn Your Grab My Button into a Free BillBoard”
Based on the number of comments dropping, results were not so good. We changed the strategy for July, defining a topic for each day of the week:
MONDAYS – “Search Engine Optimization/Traffic”
WEDNESDAYS – “How to be Successful Blogger”
FRIDAYS – “Track Visitors -Analytics/Statcounter”
There were three posts on each topic during the month. This strategy worked well and the number of comments doubled. (We will examine all of this in a separate post so that you can see how you can, and should, build a content strategy.)
Before getting too far into August, we thought and it would be a great idea to ask our readers what you think of the themed content strategy. (We did not change the template!)
Also, leave your feedback and thoughts in comments.
Thanks for Your Time.

I think the July strategy captured my interest more because I could focus on that theme in changing my own blog.
I think you need to not change the theme as much otherwise users think they are on the wrong site. Maybe try and have a theme for every week is a much better solution or use the themes with the best results.
The content is themed, not the design template. We updated the post with some examples to make this clearer.
Changing the theme every 2 days is not a good idea. Maybe, try a different strategy!
Themed Content does not mean template theme or design. Rather it’s a topic with posts that relate to that one topic — we revised the article to make this clearer.
I really didn’t notice it, sorry.
Themes as such do not decide the fate of a blog. It is the content that adds value to the blog.
I personally don’t believe that changing theme effects the blog or comments. May be your stats are improving because of the articles.
Sorry, I’ve only been around the better part of a month, so I haven’t really noticed. But you’ll have to let me know what ended up working best for you.
Sorry i havn’t noticed the theme. I believe content adds value to the blog.
