This is something very large sites do to make sure their resource consumption is well distributed and visitors don't experience downtime. Often they pay for this extra power based on usage. Naturally, I have (and should not have) any of your dealings with Doreo but I do suggest you escalate your complaint. Our experience with them has been positive. Good luck. It is very good plugin and I have heared of its good performance when blog gets down as it keeps serving cached pages. However, when it comes to Host Gator, it's every inch as good as it seems. It is also one of the most recommended hosts, when ever someone asks about good hosts, there's bound to be numerous people pointing to their direction. Sure I get database connection problems every now and then, and sometimes the site is down, but I can count those times with one hand fingers during an equal amount of years with them.
