Google Writer is a free offline blog editor by Google. It is compatible with all major blogging platforms including Blogger, WordPress, TypePad and Live Journal.

Features:

Apart from the features most offline editors have, Google Writer packs some exclusive features. Here they are:

1. AdSense Integration: Software will automatically search your browser cookies to find publisher id and password and integrate adsense. If you own Blogger blog, ads can be integrated into posts without need to edit template(Blogger feature to be rolled out soon). You can select the sections for which ads are targeted easily without any need of adding tags. Writer will do that for you.
2. Docs Integration: When online, you can import your documents written in Google Docs. All the formatting will be retained.
3. GMail Integration: You might be wondering what GMail has to do with offline editor. Here's the answer: Writer uses GMail Inbox to save your posts automatically. Also, posts can be sent to others with a simple click. This needs Writer feature in labs to be enabled. GMail will not show these posts in inbox, instead a new tab called "Writer Posts" will be available.
4. In Built Auto-Search: If you are online, Writer will search automatically for related images and stories. Images can be added with one click to posts and are automatically sent to Picasa.
5. SEO: With this software, Google has packed some exclusive SEO options. You can set up paragraphs not to be indexed by spiders individually instead of whole pages. Some extra enhancements have also been added and they will be revealed soon.
