FeedBurner Finally Adds Dynamic Subject Lines to Emails

by Ishan · 11 comments

We've been waiting for this feature for a long time. After all, it is not easy to find that special mail among many others with same subject lines.

Before this, all emails delivered by FeedBurner used to have same subject line. But now, you can use the title of  your latest post as the subject. This will make it easy to find any post in your (huge) inbox.

Email Feeds

FeedBurner Dynamic Mail Titles

To use dynamic email subjects:

  1. Go to Publicize -> Email Branding from your FeedBurner dashboard.
  2. In Email subject/title, enter ${latestItemTitle} where you want the latest title to appear.
  3. If you publish several posts a day, then you can use ${n} to show number of posts in email.
  4. Press save.

And yes, have you subscribed to our blog?

This a great news. I see some of my subcribers unsubscribing from the feed especially because, they think why the hell i am getting a mail with subject “NiharsWorld” everyday.

This is a good thing that they have made the change. will now go to feedburner account and change it striaght away.

I am going to make the change right now. Thanks for sharing this information. I have found that when google makes changes it pays to take advantage of them to help build our blogs.

For example the new change in the Google Adsense font sizes has dramatically helped my CTR.

I just noticed that the other day and mentioned it on my blog as well. I’m really excited. This change came right on the heels of Darren Rowse’s open letter to Feedburner about it. I wonder if it was related? Probably not.

Hello, I want to add Feedburner to my website. I like the “Send to a friend” feature that I have seen on some websites and I want to add this to every page of my blog.
