Chitika + AdSense Placement Contest: Win A Playstation 3 and $400!

Last year, Chitika hosted a Chitika Premium and AdSense placement contest which received more than 300 entries.

By popular demand, it is back again! Winner will get a Playstation 3 Slim and NFL Madden 10 while two runner ups will get $200 each.

How To Enter?

Sign up for Chitika (if you aren't already a publisher!). Just think of some creative placement involving Chitika and AdSense ads. Place the ads on your blog and leave you URL on contest announcement post. You can also send entry via email to special projects (at) chitika (dot) com.

Some Placement Tips

  1. Use Alternate Ad: Like the winner, use an alternate ad which will be shown to visitors not coming from Search Engines. Using Alternate Ad With Chitika.
  2. Place Ads In/Near Content: Chitika ads do not perform well if you place them away for content. Place your ads near or in the content!
  3. Use Big Sizes: Chitika Ads may get 4x Click Through Rate if you use t big ad size. Consider using their mega units.

I thought about entering this one, but I really don't get that much search traffic. So I had no way of testing the layouts.

If the only thing holding you back is testing the layout as a search engine visitor, then just do a search that guarantees your site on the results page, click it and you look like a searcher! The same thing works on the search box on your blog – key the title of any post … Mr I may have other techniques but this is a quick way.
