You installed a gadget that’s part of Google Friend connect. So only shows visits from logged in Google Friends. You probably want the Blog Catalog Recent Viewer’s widget — find it here: http://www.blogcatalog.com/account/widget

When a BlogCatalog member comes by to read your blog their avatar will show up on your widget.

I’ve installed the gadget, but it doesn’t seem to be working properly because no faces appear, except my own. Can anyone explain?

Here’s snapshot of the widget you installed:

It only records who visited the site, you can click on the avatar and visit that person at MYBlogLog and start a friendship or comment on their blog! The widget does not magically get you more visitors — the avatar has already seen your page ‘where you post it.” So going to mybloglog instead of your blog url makes no difference. If they go to mybloglog then they may sign up for your community and get your post feed on their profile. It’s all and only about social networking or ‘proof’ that you have some visitors! I hope this clears it up.

I’d like to help but I need to see where it is on your blog (or test blog if you have one) — not sure what you mean by ‘bottom’ since you don’t have a footer.. Are you pasting the code into a new sidebar gadget? If so it would go to the top of the sidebar and you just have to drag and drop it while in Layout tab on the dashboard.

I want to add recent viewers widget right side in my blog. i copy paste widget from my bloglog but it show in the bottom in the blog. so how to add it . give me solution . Thanks

I use the recent viewers widget and quite frankly it looks nice and adds a picturesque feel to my blog.

It also shows people that you have constant flow of people.

I think the only downside to have a recent viewers widget, is when you hardly hard traffic and you see that one picture of the user that luckily happen to come across your site.

Only you can control your traffic.

I think you can turn off your id so it doesn’t appear in the widget (put cursor over your avatar to get that option) when you visit a site. (each site!)
