Are you a regular user of Poll widgets? Are you happy with what you get? Poll widgets that come with different platforms are somewhat limited in customization and options. There are other choices to solve this. Take a look at this service from PollDaddy. They offer two types of services, free and paid. Free service will limit your poll in many ways, but it’s sufficient enough to make a decent poll. I suggest you to use the free version, and if you need more options, purchase the paid service later.
Polldaddy provides the quickest may to make your own poll. Once you’ve signed up, you will be taken to the poll creation page. Here you will be presented with many options to make your own custom polls. Blogger’s Poll of the Day regular options are available here also: multiple answers and close date. It also has several unique features that Blogger doesn’t have, like: Skins customization (there are 19 basic skins to be picked to match your blog’s layout), Randomized and Other Answers (where users can enter their own). You can also let your voters leave comments for your poll. This is pretty interesting as, even on polls, you can communicate with your blog readers. The Comment Form is protected with comment moderation feature and captcha images. It’s secure enough to prevent spammers posting on your comment form.
Once you’ve finished your custom poll, of course you want to publish it, right? Polldaddy provides many ways to do so. If you prefer old fashioned Javascript for Blogger then there’s an option to use it. If you’re using Wordpress then there are shortcodes for your blog, just add it and you’re set. Or, if you want to do it in another way, there’s flash code as well, suitable for sites/blog hosting platforms that don’t allow Javascript. Just embed it on your sidebar/widget.
And later, once people have voted on that poll, you can see the detailed analysis. For free accounts, you can only see total votes and have the ability to export the results into two forms: CSV and XML. For paid accounts, you will be able to check IP addresses of your voters, and Country Location with the report they provide.
Overall, this PollDaddy service is much better than regular Polls. Worth a try!

Thanks for this education and awareness. This is news to me. I will try this soon.
Thank you for visiting. ^^
i think poll widgets are pretty much okay to use if you want to maintain a certain amount of interactivity between you and the readers. too much of it though will annoy people.
He, I just missed to mention one thing. I have used http://pollcode.com/. And, it has somewhat similar features, you mention.

Thanks, we will check this website. If possible, we will compare the two to find out which is best for bloggers.
