7 Tips Bloggers can learn from Apple Inc.

If you understand meaning of word "Cool" then you know what "Apple" is! Anyway, if you don't know, here is Wikipedia link to Apple Inc. and here is a link to their official site.

So, what can we bloggers learn from Apple? Well, a lot! Here are 7 tips you they taught the world and bloggers.

  1. Be Innovative: Apple has always been pioneer with new designs and devices. Do you know the name of first PDA? It was Apple's Newton. The list does not end here. There is iPod, iMac and so on... Bloggers should also be innovative. Look for what is missing in your niche and when you find it, write a quality post on it. Innovation does not only mean writing a post. Innovate your blog design, spend time and money on something that is exclusive. This will grow your blog.
  2. Support Your Competition:Mac OSX is able to run Windows and Linux applications on near native speeds. It never hurt Apple. Instead, more Windows users can use Apple. Bloggers also need not to be afraid of competition. Be aware, not afraid. Some people do not link to others thinking that it will send their traffic to competition. Do not be one of such people. If you have quality, people will come back.
  3. Think Different: Do not be a part of the crowd. Thousands of people have access to the programs that you think can help you succeed. You have to stand out of the crowd to succeed like iPods stand out in a crowd of 100's of PMPs.
  4. Do not Give Up: Apple faced harsh situations many times. But they never gave up. This is a good examples for new bloggers who try blogging but do not see much profit in first few months and give up.
  5. Be Simplistic: Do not overuse bells and whistles. Have you ever faced problems with installers? If you use Windows, you must have once in a while. Consider Apple applications here, they come as compressed or image files which are ready to run. No installers! That's what I mean by simplicity.
  6. Care about your Customers (Readers): There have been a good number of cases when Apple did something to help a customer that was as unexpected as it was helpful. Apple has a tradition of good customer care. Similarly, care your readers. If they ask for help or communicate, reply and put some time into it. This will help keep them coming back. This way, you might get some good blogger friends. That was how I met Fransiska and SBA, other two owners of this blog. That's a long story, I will discuss that some other day.
  7. Give Complete Information: Have you ever use a Windows PC without installing anything extra? You can not use it for anything other than bare minimum tasks! But Apple does not leave you on mercy of Software manufacturers! Their OS X is complete package in itself. On the same lines, Bloggers should not leave their readers clueless about anything. If you can not write on a topic featured in your post, do not worry, provide a link resources or quote some text. Make every post a complete unit in itself.
